Strengthening the Sustainability of MSMEs in the Mediterranean – Prof. Ayadi features in INVESTMED feature in Managers

INVESTMED features in the latest edition of Managers magazine, on online business magazine based in Tunisia. The 20 page article gives an overview of the importance of the INVESTMED project in the region and how it has made an impact.

Prof. Rym Ayadi, President and Founder of the Euro-Mediterranean Economists Association – EMEA, project partner of INVESTMED, gave her view on the philosophy of projects such as INVESTMED, how exactly the project has contributed to sustainability, the challenges that have been found in the implementation of the project, and what would be needed in future projects.

The article then moves on to describe the INVESTMED project, touching on key themes such as the capacity building and training, how the trade off between innovation and sustainability is to be manged, and the path towards a regenerative economy in green, blue, and CCI businesses.

Finally, the article provides 12 interviews from the INVESTMED beneficiaries. They provide an insight into the progress they have made over the last year with INVESTMED and how the support has allowed them to reach their goals. The subgrantees featured are:

The INVESTMED Project (InNoVativE Sustainable sTart-ups for the MEDiterranean) is co-funded by the European Union under the ENI CBC Mediterranean Sea Basin Programme 2014-2020.
