EMEA researcher, Dr. Yeganeh Forouheshfar, participated on 31 October 2022 in the “National Dialogue on the Social Protection System in Tunisia” organised jointly by the Economic Research Forum (ERF) and Institut de Recherche pour le Développement (IRD) in Tunis in a hybrid format.
Her intervention was in the 3rd session of the event on “Extending Social Protection to Informal Workers in Tunisia” and presenting the paper entitled “Social security coverage and informal workers in Tunisia”. The paper identifies the main characteristics of Tunisian informal workers and determine the factors affecting transition to formality.”
