The President of the Euro-Mediterranean Economists Association – EMEA, Prof. Rym Ayadi, presented a lecture about the economic integration and cooperation in the Mediterranean, for the inter-university programme Aula Mediterrània. The event took place online on 25 March 2021 and it was co-organised by IEMed and the Master’s in International Studies – Organizations and International Cooperation, UB. Prof Ayadi was introduced by Laura Huici, Associate Professor of International Public Law and International Relations.
At the lecture Prof. Ayadi highlighted that the “Euro-Mediterranean regional integration must be imbedded in a blue transition scenario anchored in a transparent, responsible, inclusive, and sustainable development model that is transformative.”
The inter-university programme Aula Mediterrània aims to foster studies on the Mediterranean with as wide and interdisciplinary a perspective as possible. Started in 2014, it is the result of the collaboration between the European Institute of the Mediterranean – IEMed and the academic world.
