EMEA signs MOU with the EPLO and its Circular Economy and Climate Institute

We are very happy to announce that the Euro-Mediterranean Economists Association – EMEA and the European Public Law Organisation, “EPLO” and its Circular economy and climate Institute signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) expressing their willingness to enhance and intensify their cooperation in the areas of mutual concern.

EPLO and EMEA aim to enhance collaboration on the Euro-Mediterranean and African ecosystems, enhance expert knowledge in the regions and support transparent, inclusive social and economic development with a particular emphasis on expertise, sharing of knowledge, co-funding and dissemination to support a transformation towards a transparent, sustainable transition in the Mediterranean and Africa.

In this sense, the Parties will cooperate where and when feasible and appropriate, aiming at maximising bilateral and multilateral Euro-Mediterranean and Euro-African cooperation from a global and sustainable perspective.

The MoU was signed on behalf of EPLO by Prof. Spyridon Flogaitis, Director of the EPLO and President of its Board of Directors, and George Stavros Kremlis, Director of the Circular Economy & Climate Institute, Member of the Board of Directors and on behalf of EMEA by Prof. Rym Ayadi, EMEA Founder and President, Chair of the Executive Board.

The European Public Law Organisation – EPLO is an international organization dedicated to the creation and dissemination of knowledge in the area of Public Law lato sensu and Governance, including but not limited to, inter alia, national, comparative and European public law, human rights law, environmental and energy law, and the promotion of European values for a better generation of lawyers and democratic institutions worldwide. Capacity and institutional building are key activities of the EPLO.

The Circular Economy and Climate Institute of EPLO is promoting circular economy and sustainable practices, climate, environmental and energy diplomacy, as well as the new holistic concept of “circular diplomacy” and will strive to mainstream circular economy in all policy areas. It offers and shares best practice and capacity and institutional building at all levels of governance, and with the private sector through Circular ESG. It participates in EU programs and in the organization of the annual Circular Gaia Symposium which will be held in Athens in the Autumn 2025.

The Euro-Mediterranean Economists Association – EMEA is a Barcelona-based regional think-tank that serves as a leading independent and innovative policy research institution; a forum for debate on the political and socio-economic reforms in Mediterranean and Africa; and promoter of actions and initiatives that fulfil objectives of sustainability, inclusiveness, regional integration and prosperity.
