EMEA Senior Researcher Dr. Yeganeh Forouheshfar Joins Expert Panel at LIVE COP29 Workshop on Policy Briefs

On February 19, 2025, Dr. Yeganeh Forouheshfar, Senior Researcher at the Euro-Mediterranean Economists Association (EMEA), participated in the LIVE COP29 – Towards an EUniWell UNFCCC Delegation Conference, held at FIRSTLab, Università degli Studi di Firenze. This event brought together PhD and Master’s students from various EU universities to analyze COP29 outcomes, develop policy briefs, and engage with climate experts and activists on strengthening the link between research and climate action.

Dr. Forouheshfar was part of the expert panel on “Impacting Research: Structuring and Framing a Policy Brief for Maximum Impact”, where she presented EMEA’s role as a think tank, its activities at COP29, and key takeaways from the conference. She also provided practical guidance on crafting effective policy briefs. The session featured an interactive debate and Q&A, allowing students to engage directly with experts and refine their policy-writing skills.

The panel included Ines Duarte – Union for the Mediterranean (UfM), Eleonora Cogo – ECCO Think Tank, and Iskander Erzini Vernoit – Imal Initiative for Climate and Development. Ms. Sara Ronco, Research Manager, EUniWell and EMEA Associate, facilitated the discussion.
