The Euro-Mediterranean Economists Association – EMEA, presented next year’s activities of the Euro-Mediterranean Guarantee Network (EMGN), on 16-17.12.19, in Cairo, at the preparatory meeting of the re-launch of the network.
EMGN was set up in 2012 as a network of Credit Guarantee schemes with the aim of alleviating the region’s structural constraints in access to finance. It is promoted by EMEA, IEMed, and supported by GIZ.
During the meeting Dr. Mais Sha’ban, EMEA Fellow Researcher, presented the preliminary results of the questionnaire conducted within the framework of the Euro-Mediterranean Guarantee Network. The questionnaire shed light on the characteristics and activities of credit guarantee schemes in the Euro-Mediterranean region.
At the end of the meeting, the President of EMEA, Prof. Rym Ayadi concluded: “At the meeting, the EMGN reached a milestone. The network will work with all partners to achieve the activities agreed in the action plan.”
