On Thursday, June 11th, Professor Rym Ayadi spoke at the Second Marrakesh Economic Parliamentary Forum, held on June 11th-12th and organized by the Parliamentary Assembly of the Mediterranean (PAM).
In her message, Professor Ayadi stated: “The Mediterranean and Gulf regions stand at the crossroads of economic transformation and opportunity. As they navigate the challenges of geopolitical instability, climate change, and youth unemployment, their commitment to diversification, innovation, and sustainable development will be key to unlocking a future of inclusive growth and resilience in the global economy.”
The Marrakesh Economic Parliamentary Forum focuses on advancing sustainable development and prosperity in the Euro-Mediterranean and Gulf regions. During the event, PAM and its partners discussed macroeconomic trends in the Euro-Mediterranean and Gulf regions, energy supply and green transition strategies, and initiatives to protect the Mediterranean Sea. It concluded with discussions on securing financing for innovative business ideas, with insights from industry and financial experts.
EMEA and PAM signed an MoU in 2015 to explore cooperation in their respective mandates. This includes consultations, joint research and analytical studies, meetings, events, exchanges of information, and other common activities in support of economic integration, employment creation, and social development in the Mediterranean region.
