The Euro-Mediterranean Economists Association – EMEA, project partner of Interreg MED Renewable Energy project, participated at the “Efficient Building Living Lab Session 2: Education”, represented by Dr Cynthia Echave, Project Coordinator and EMEA Senior Researcher. The session was targeted to Spanish municipalities.
At the session, Dr Echave, presented the capitalisation actions planned by the project and highlighted the ongoing mainstreaming process with 9 Flagship Cases. She also explained which are the available tools and resources to mainstream, and the Ecosystemic Transition Unit (ETU) model that enables its integration into local planning.
The Interreg Med Renewable Energy Project is one of the 8 MED Horizontal Projects of the Interreg Med Programme, co-financed by the European Regional Development Fund. The capitalisation strategy of the project is set through the Ecosystemic Transition Unit (ETU initiative), a governance model for energy transition in rural and islands areas in the Mediterranean Region.
EMEA will coordinate the advocacy and policy mainstreaming actions, and will enhance knowledge transfer and synergies on climate change, energy transition, sustainability and green economy.
