EMEA participation at the ResAlliance kick-off meeting

The Euro-Mediterranean Economists Association – EMEA participated in the ResAlliance kick-off meeting and first General Assembly. The event was coordinated by the European Forest Institute (EFI), and took place on 13 December 2022 at the EFI Mediterranean Facility in Barcelona.

Ivan Hajdukovic, EMEA  Researcher, presented the REFOREST project and the role of the Euro-Mediterranean Economists Association as a partner in the project. Reforest is an Horizon Europe-funded project aiming at fostering innovation, supporting knowledge exchange, and providing novel solutions to empower farmers in Europe and associated countries to deliver multiple objectives: food production, carbon capture, and biodiversity. At the end of the presentation, the synergies between the two projects were discussed.

ResAlliance is a Horizon Europe-funded project aiming to facilitate information and knowledge flow and increase the awareness, understanding and capacity of farmers and foresters on landscape resilience in Mediterranean countries.
