EMEA researcher Sara Ronco, participated at the final conference of the H2020 TRIGGER Project which presented the main research outcome of the program which led by CEPS since 2018, along with 14 international partners including the Euro-Mediterranean Economists Association – EMEA. The conference took place at CEPS offices on 31.05.2022.
The conference presented the comprehensive work conducted to provide EU institutions with better knowledge and tools to enhance their actorness, effectiveness and influence in global governance, and to develop new ways to harness the potential of public engagement and participatory foresight in complex governance decisions.
EMEA researcher Sara Ronco presented the analysis of the Global Governance of Development Aid and cooperation with Africa. In particular, the study carried out shows the evolution of the EU’s governance and actorness in development aid and cooperation with Africa. The study presented also showed the effectiveness of the EU in negotiating some critical objectives related to development finance and migration in the post-Cotonou partnership agreement. Finally, she presented some key challenges and opportunities for the future of the EU-Africa Partnership.
High-level speakers were also be joined by members of the Young Thinkers, a group of 30 brilliant young minds from over 20 different countries selected by CEPS, who also shared their perspective on the research findings.
