The Euro-Mediterranean Economists Association – EMEA, is honored to announce that Verónica de Nogales joined the Advisory Board of the Association.
Verónica de Nogales Leprevost was born in Barcelona Spain in 1970. Her intense interest in art and in nature began at an early age, manifesting itself in drawings and paintings of nature and of wildlife. In 1988, in the University of Fine Arts of Barcelona, she began to undergo an anatomical shift towards the study of human body movement, rendered not only through two-dimensional mediums of painting, etching and drawing, but also through the third and fourth dimensions of sculpture and of dance.
Recognizing her talent, the Provincial Gallery of Catalunya, Spain, offered her a solo exhibition in Barcelona and soon honoured her works in Paris . After many exhibitions in Europe she moved to Canada and in the year 2000, where she shifted towards Public Sculpture with her partner Edwin Dam, under the signature Dam de Nogales, together they have realized over 40 public sculptures around the world, and to this day, they still collaborate in many projects while pursuing their own personal artistic journeys.
