EMEA Researcher, Ivan Hadjukovic, and Project Manager of the INTERREG Euro-Med Green Living Areas, Joanna Grodzka travelled to Ljubliana, Slovenia to participate in the INTERREG Euro-MED major event: Connecting the Dots: The path to a smarter and greener Mediterranean. The event was held on the 21st and 22nd of November 2023 and organised by the INTERREG Euro-MED Joint Secretariat together with the Slovenian Presidency, bringing together stakeholders from across the Mediterranean region to discuss and shape the future of governance in the region.
On the first day, Ivan and Joanna participated in the Steering Committee of the Community4LivingAreas Project, 1 of 2 projects under the Green Living Areas Mission. EMEA leads the technical co-ordination of the project, whilst also promoting systemic thinking and a transformative approach. Joanna presented progress made so far, with a particular focus on the capitalization of the ETU initiative, and ways forward for the coming months of the project. The following day, the Green Living Areas Mission held a workshop titled Concrete Actions for an Effective Territorial Cooperation and Synergies for Greener Living Areas. In this session, the thematic community projects were discussed, marking the beginning of the collaborative spirit of the project.
